Stephen Tornero from Oakwood Middle School has recently achieved the esteemed title of "O. A. T." (Outstanding Art Teacher) in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the field. This prestigious accolade is awarded annually by the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) within each region. Stephen Tornero's work has been acknowledged in the "East Region," which encompasses Stark, Columbiana, Holmes, Wayne, Tuscarawas, Carroll, Coshocton, Harrison, Jefferson, Guernsey, Muskingum, Noble, Monroe, and Belmont counties.
 
The official award presentation is scheduled to take place during the upcoming OAEA professional development conference, which will be held this year in Toledo. The ceremony is set for the evening of Thursday, November 9, 2023, where Stephen Tornero will be honored for his remarkable achievements in art education.
